Anissa Latham-Brown is an Emmy Award winning director and producer born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama.
She produces video content for AL.com and the brand “This Is Alabama.” Her films have been screened at film festivals including AFI Docs, New Orleans Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival, and DOC NYC. Her short, Pulled Over/Pulled Under (2022) was a finalist at the Online News Association’s 2022 Online Journalism Awards. Her work centers around the experiences of southern Black communities, and has been supported by Reel South, the Center for Asian American Media, and Firelight Media.
